How it works
Type your message in a chat, email or note.
Tap Spell Check in the TypeKey bar.
Your corrected text replaces the original.
TypeKey checks spelling, grammar and punctuation in the text you're writing, then puts the corrected version back in the field. It works in Messages, Mail, WhatsApp, notes and any other app that uses the iPhone keyboard.
It also handles messages in other languages, such as German, French or Spanish. Read the result before you send it: like any spell checker, it can get names or slang wrong.
TypeKey sends the text in the field you're typing in to our server only when you tap an action, encrypted, to create your result. AI actions need Full Access for the keyboard. iOS asks for it once, when you turn the keyboard on.

Does the iPhone have a grammar check?
The built-in keyboard corrects single words. TypeKey checks whole sentences, including grammar and punctuation, with one tap.
Which apps does it work in?
Wherever you use the iPhone keyboard, for example Messages, Mail, WhatsApp, Instagram and Notes.
Can it check other languages?
Yes, it checks messages in other languages too, for example German, French or Spanish. The app itself is in English and German.
What happens to my text?
TypeKey sends the text in your field to our server only when you tap an action. Our server passes it to our AI service provider to write the result. We don't store the text on our server.
